Senior TV Executive Sonya Wilkes is a Chief Content Officer at Eureka Productions, working in the company’s Sydney and LA offices.

Wilkes has spent the past four and a half years as an executive producer at Beyond Productions. Her credits include Peacock’s Relationship Reality Series Love Undercover, Hulu’s Back In the Groove and ABC’s Pooch Perfect.

She also has experience in the senior leadership role at Seven Network, serving as non-script, development director, executive producer and network executive director.

During this time she co-created and produced House Rules, Bride and Prejudice, My Restaurant Rules, The Strictest Parents in the World, Hell’s Kitchen, Real Full Monty and more.

In her new role, Wilkes reports to CEO Ricky ProOst, who took on top job at the beginning of the year when Eureka Productions founders Crisque Benner and Paul Franklin launched their new venture, Eureka Studio, and launched their new venture, Eureka Studio, as part of a three-year deal with Fremantle.

She said Eureka has “an exceptional track record as one of the most innovative and prolific scripted producers on the market.”

“I look forward to working with Ricky and the talented team in both the US and Australia to further enhance that success.

Eureka’s current slate includes floors (Fox, Nine Network), Farmer’s wife (Fox, Seven Network), Ball (Fox) quiz (Fox), Australia’s Idol (Seven Network), and the amazing race Australia (Netflix), and upcoming shows Golden Ticket (Netflix), and international music competition KPOPPED (Apple TV+).

Proost said Wilkes’ experience in the US and Australian markets is perfect for leading the growth of Eureka’s international slate.

“Her leadership helps drive creative innovation and deliver world-class content to our partners,” she said.
