“Eternal” Trailer: Elizabeth Olsen dies and faces a love triangle with Miles Terror and Calm Turner

A24 has released the official trailer for eternal. It is becoming a sweet, weird, and surprisingly emotional romantic comedy. Elizabeth Olsen stars as a newly deceased woman. And now we have to decide on two very different loves of love played by Miles Teller and Callum Turner. Check out the trailer above and see more about the film below.

Forever, Joan (Olsen) finds himself at the junction. A surreal post-mortem transport halt that earned a week to decide where the dead would spend forever. Before she can understand it all, she meets her recently deceased husband, Larry (Teller). But there is also Luke (Turner), a love she lost long ago. He had been waiting for her for nearly 70 years.

Luke has a charm, and behind him there is decades of longing. Rally’s grounded, familiar. And from the wings, we see two nose-death workers (Da’vine Joy Randolph and John Early) who are clearly thinking about how this should unfold.

It’s playful and nostalgic, but there’s something deep beneath the surface. There will be laughs – and there may be some tears to sink. The film is directed by David Freyne (Dating Amber). Daving Freyne co-written the script with Pat Cunnane. The script was on the 2022 blacklist.

Olsen speaks to Extra and calls it a “callback to a Billy Wilder film,” which certainly seems to lead to a similar mix of mind and wit. “I think it’s going to be a special romantic comedy that we all really are proud of,” she said. “I’m excited that it’s coming out this year.”

Eternity premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and will open in US cinemas this November. Upcoming release dates.
