Disney has announced that ESPN Sports will be coming to Disney Plus in Australia and New Zealand this year.
Australia marks the first English-speaking country outside North America to get ESPN on Disney Plus. The new ESPN hub brings over 10,000 hours of live sports through ESPN and ESPN2 channels. Use shows like SportsCenter, The Pat McAfee Show, NBA Today, Take, Live Events and on-demand replays.

To name a few, ESPN has the rights to the NBA All-Star Weekend, the NBL Championship Series, the MLB Opening Day, the NBA Finals and the NHL Stanley Cup Finals.
All Disney Plus Premium and Standard subscribers have access to the channel’s ESPN lineup. There is no release date for the channel yet, but more information will be released in the coming months. What Disney is available is exactly like this: Original programming. ”
ESPN was previously only available on Foxtel/Kayo, so this is clearly a big shakeup and could bring more people to Disney. It’s unclear if that will remain in Foxtel. At first you probably know how long it will last.
