The DreamHack team has announced that DreamHack Melbourne will not be returning in 2025, and there are currently no plans to return to Australia in the near future.

The event was held at Melbourne Park both this year and last, and was quite popular, but the company announced on its Twitter page that it would not be held again.

“A message from the DreamHack Melbourne team: We are very disappointed to share the news that DreamHack Melbourne will not be returning in 2025, but at this time we have no plans to hold any further DreamHack events in Australia in the near future. That’s it,” he posted on Twitter.

“Creating DreamHack Melbourne has been a real pleasure and honor. We are extremely proud of what we have achieved together with you, our amazing community, and will forever be grateful for the support you have provided. The memories we made together will always hold a special place in our hearts. Thank you to DreamHack Melbourne for your enthusiasm, creativity and energy. You made it truly unforgettable. Until we meet again, keep up the great game,” the statement continued.

A message from the DreamHack Melbourne team:

It is with great sadness that we share the news that DreamHack Melbourne will not be returning in 2025, and that we currently have no plans to hold any further DreamHack events in Australia in the near future.

This is definitely sad news today, as events are clearly one of the few times our community comes together. It is unclear whether further local jobs will be affected by this news.
