Apple TV+ has dropped the official trailer for the Oxford Set plot thriller pair Emma Thompson and Ruth Wilson’s Oxford Set plot thriller. Check out the trailer above and read the essentials.

The explosion passes through sleepy Oxford Street, and the child disappears with a mixed chaos. Sarah Trafford (Ruth Wilson) can’t swing it, so she blows a rope into private investigator Zo Behm (Emma Thompson). What begins as a check on Goodnigbo checks the spirals in the tangles of buried identity, the suspicious “resurrection” and the entanglement of stacked bodies. All leads hit a velvet rope (a unique seal, a fixed smile, a door that should not be locked).
From Herron’s Book – and how far can this go?
Based on Mick Heron’s first Zoe Baume novel, the series plantes seeds for a larger arc. When asked what attracted her to the series, Wilson told a TV insider: “Frankly, it was working with Emma Thompson. I loved slow horses, so it was an opportunity to be in that Mick Heron world.” She adds that Sarah starts out as “something strange in this strange world,” but you realize she fits into the mess more than she knows.
On the road ahead, Wilson has a total of four books, and the team says they are “to try it out in three seasons total.” Sarah disappears from books 2 and 3 and returns to 4, but Wilson points out that the show might write her in the central chapter. Of course, another chapter will depend on how well this first season works. “You probably know if you’ll be back by the end of the year.”
And when I teamed up with Thompson, Wilson said, “Yeah, she’s amazing. As soon as we get together, this is the show. This is the show. It’s this dynamic, these two women. The set is a very good energy.
Cast, creators, releases
The series was created and written by Molwena Banks (Slow Horse) and created by Natalie Bailey (Bay of Fires) as lead director. Thompson executives are produced with Banks, Jamie Laurenson, Hakan Kusetta, Tom Nash and author Mick Heron.
The ensemble cast also includes Adeel Akhtar, Nathan Stewart-Jarrett, Tom Goodman-Hill, Darren Boyd, Tom Riley, Adam Godley, Sinéad Matthews, Ken Nwosu, Fehinti Balogun and Aiysha Hart.
Down Cemetery Road hosted eight episodes and premieres on Apple TV+, with two episode drops on October 29th, and was released every week from December 10th.
