“Don’t go in that house, bitch!”: Snoop Dogg stars in Eli Roth’s “Ultimate Haunted House Movie”

Snoop Dogg has officially been cast in Eli Roth’s upcoming horror film Don’t Go in That House, Bitch!, confirming that he will appear in the project in addition to his previously announced role as producer and soundtrack provider. The film combines Roth’s penchant for extreme genre swing with Snoop’s expanding Death Row film ambitions, resulting in a deliberately raucous, self-aware haunted house movie.

From producers to on-screen collaborators

The project has been rumored for months, with Snoop Dogg and Ross first confirmed in September 2025 as producers on the film, which will be backed by Media Capital Technologies and its horror division, with Snoop also writing and producing the original soundtrack. Ross directed, produced and developed the film under his Horror Section banner, reuniting the pair since their previous collaboration on Snoop’s 2012 “La La La” music video.

Roth previously teased the concept in a fake trailer released last year, framing the film as an intentionally outrageous riff on grindhouse-esque haunted house clichés.

Snoop Dogg will star in the lead role

Variety broke the news that Snoop Dogg would also star in Don’t Enter That House, Bitch!, and Ross confirmed the casting while speaking at the Bvlgari Eternal Vimini party in Beverly Hills. Ross explained how the project came together, saying the idea immediately clicked with the rapper.

“He’s wanted to do a death row movie for a long time,” Ross said. “I said we need to make the ultimate haunted house movie, the craziest one, something that no insane person would believe existed, like a mix between ‘The House,’ ‘The House by the Cemetery,’ ‘The House,’ and ‘Friday the 13th.’

Ross confirmed that he finished writing the script during his vacation, but the rest of the cast has not yet been announced.

Snoop Dogg isn’t exactly new to the horror realm. Over the years, he’s appeared in the genre in various capacities, starring as a revived neighborhood legend in Ernest Dickerson’s cult favorite Bones, narrating a tale of urban nightmares in the anthology film Snoop Dogg’s Hood of Horror, and leaning into parody in a supporting role in Scary Movie 5. More recently, he played a veteran vampire hunter in Netflix’s Day Shift, in which he played himself. Comedy-horror sequel “The House Next Door: Meet the Blacks 2.”

A haunted house movie based on bad decisions

At its core, it leans into one of horror’s most well-known frustrations: “Don’t go in that house, bitch!” Characters ignore obvious danger.

“People keep coming into the house. People don’t listen. What are you doing, bitch? Don’t go in that house,” Ross said. “People just keep going in. Like, what are you doing? You’re not coming out of there. Please stop. Turn around and leave! That’s basically all you scream at the screen during a horror movie. We put them in the movie as characters in the movie, like a Greek chorus.”

Filming is expected to begin in June, and Ross is currently budgeting and applying for California tax credits in hopes of filming in Los Angeles. Snoop also contributed music to Roth’s new film, The Ice Cream Man, including original score work and a song for the end credits.
