Ghostface is back – and he’s made it personal. Paramount’s official Scream 7 trailer once again stars Neve Campbell in the role of Sidney Prescott. Her hard-won calm is shattered the moment familiar masks begin to surround her family.
The atmosphere is dead-end horror. The doorbell, the porch, the hallway, it’s all a pressure cooker. When her daughter (played by Isabel May, 1923) is marked, Sidney transforms from survivor to strategist. Watching the trailer also brings back memories of the series. She names her daughter Tatum. It’s not just nostalgia. It’s bait.
That call is unmistakable. “Hello, Sydney. Have you missed me?” I hear a silky, needle-like purr. “What a lovely little town you found, you and your sweet daughter. It reminds me of where we grew up.” Sydney retorts, “Wow, you know a lot about me for another motherfucker hiding behind a voice changer.” All I got was a cold reply: “Oh, I’m not hiding, Sydney. Not this time.”
Courteney Cox returns as Gail Weathers, sharpening both the jokes and the stakes. Jasmine Savoy Brown and Mason Gooding return as Mindy and Chad Meeks-Martin, carrying on the blood for a new generation.
The film will be directed by Scream series creator Kevin Williamson, co-written by Guy Busick, based on a story by Busick and James Vanderbilt, and produced by William Sherak, Vanderbilt and Paul Neinstein.
Scream 7 will be released in Australian cinemas on February 26, 2026 and in US cinemas on February 27, 2026.
