Dbrand (one of my favorite companies based on this type of marketing strategy) has announced a Nintendo Switch 2 case from their signature Killswitch series.
To coincide with this announcement, Dbrand has shown off a look at the Nintendo Switch successor inside its new and improved Killswitch case. From the images, we can see that it is a larger unit (rumored to feature an 8-inch display). There also appears to be a new button on the right side below the home button.
The Verge spoke to Dbrand CEO Adam Ijaz, who said Dbrand has “actual dimensions” and is based on 3D scans of actual hardware, not educated guesses. did not elaborate further.

Interestingly, Ilaz also said that the Switch 2 will be 270mm wide, 116mm high, and 14mm thick, compared to the original’s 242mm width, 102mm height, and 13.9mm thickness. He also said that his understanding is that the Joy-Con controllers will have an eject button on the back, and that the eject button will attach magnetically to the Joy-Con, which is consistent with all previous rumors.
Dbrand went on to say that it is unclear when the Switch 2 will be released, but that they are targeting a March or April release date to coincide with the original Switch’s release date.
At this point, it’s clear that a Nintendo Switch 2 announcement is coming, and it seems very likely that it will feature a large display with magnetic Joy-Cons. Both seem like huge improvements over the original Nintendo Switch.
