Looks like Chris Evans is coming back (again) to the Marvel Cinematic Universe! The actor has accepted a role in Marvel Studios’ upcoming Avengers: Doomsday, according to multiple reports.
The film, which is scheduled to be released on May 1, 2026, is based on Marvel’s masterpieces “Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” “Captain America: Civil War,” “Avengers: Infinity War,” and “Avengers: Endgame.” The film will be directed by Joe Russo and Anthony Russo, the filmmaking duo who worked on the film.
The Wrap first reported the news, which was later confirmed by Deadline and The Hollywood Reporter. As expected, Marvel is being tight-lipped about Evans’ role, but they do say Avengers: Doomsday is expected to delve deep into the realm of the multiverse, featuring characters from across the MCU’s vast timeline.
