Brendan Cowell, creator, writer and star of Plums.
ABC and Screen Australia are delighted to announce that Brendan Cowell and Asher Keddie have teamed up to star in the powerful six-part drama series Plum, based on Brendan’s novel of the same name .
Shot in Sutherland Shire, New South Wales and premiering on ABC TV and ABC iview in 2025, Plum is produced by Roadshow’s Rough Diamond and Modern Convict Films. Brendan Cowell is the creator and writer, with co-writers Fiona Seles (Love My Way, The Great) and Wayne Blair (Total Control, Bay of Fire). The film will be directed by Margie Beatty (Bump) and Margie Beatty (Bump).
Joining Brendan and Asher will be Maria Dupler (The One, The Evil One), Susie Porter (Wentworth, Cargo), and Jemaine Clement (Avatar: The Way of the Dead). Plum follows Peter the Plum Lamb (Brendan Cowell), a 49-year-old national football treasure who lives with his son Gavin (Vincent Miller) and girlfriend Charmaine (Maria Dupler) in Cronulla. Masu.
