Twelve teams will participate in the 2024 Paris Men’s Basketball Tournament, divided into three groups of four teams each. Australia, ranked fifth, is in Group A with Canada (seventh), Greece (14th) and Spain (second).
Defending champions USA (ranked 1st in the world) will be placed in Group C, while Tokyo runner-up and host country France (ranked 14th in the world) will be placed in Group B.
After the round robin, the top two teams from each group and the top two third-place finishers will advance to the quarterfinals on August 6th.
The semi-finals will be held on August 8th, and the two medal matches, the bronze medal match and the gold medal match, will be held on August 10th.
Patty Mills will captain the 12-man Australian men’s basketball team at the 2024 Paris Games.

Patty Mills and Joe Ingles will be five-time Olympians in Paris. NBA stars Josh Guidy, Jock Landale, Dyson Daniels, Dante Exum and Duop Reese are also on the Boomers’ Olympic team.
