Bluey edged out “Grey’s Anatomy,” and Netflix hit “Stranger Things,” which became the most streamed title in the U.S. for the second year in a row.
Ludo Studio’s animated children’s series, consisting of 154 episodes with an average length of eight minutes, streamed 45.2 billion minutes on Disney+ throughout 2025, making it the most-streamed title overall and the most-streamed title, according to Nielsen data. The ABC/BBC studio series was previously crowned the most-watched program in the U.S. in 2024 with 55.6 billion minutes watched.
Grey’s Anatomy remains in second place in 2025 with 40.9 billion minutes watched across Netflix and Hulu, with the Duffer brothers’ long-running sci-fi series rounding out the top three with 40 billion minutes watched on Netflix.
This data was part of the 2025 ARTEY Awards, Nielsen’s annual recognition of the year’s most-watched streaming titles.
According to the company, viewers will spend an estimated 16.7 trillion minutes streaming in 2025, which equates to approximately 277.6 billion hours, 11.6 billion days, and more than 31.7 million years. This reflects a 19% increase in time spent streaming compared to 2024, which totaled approximately 14 trillion minutes, which was also the busiest streaming year on record.
The Blue Heeler’s latest accolade builds momentum for its new film, Bluey: The Movie, scheduled to be released in Australian cinemas on August 5, 2027.
Written and directed by creator Joe Blum, the CG-animated film stars vocal talent from the hit show, including Melanie Zanetti and David McCormack, who play Bluey’s mom and dad, Chili and Bandit Healer, and features music composed by Bluey composer Geoff Busch.
