Netflix has announced a trailer for Black Rabbit, a limited upcoming series starring Jude Law and Jason Bateman. Please read the trailer above and read more about it.
plot
Vince Friedkin (Bateman) has serious problems with his brother’s doorstep. He owes a lot of money to very dangerous people. On his return, he throws Jake (Law), the owner of Black Rabbit, a restaurant and lounge that appears to be thriving, straight into the fire line. But Jake has already barely put things together. In the trailer, he told the troubled brother, “Everything is falling apart. My family, the restaurant. I’m holding my teeth skin. I didn’t make a budget for you.”
Jake crosses the road with local bookie Joe Mancuso and is played by Oscar-winning Troy Cotool (CODA). “It’s 20 grand a week until we get squares. But if we’re a day behind, that’s it. Restaurant, that’s ours.”
What the stars say
Because of the law, the heart of the black rabbit lies in the turbulent bond between the brothers. “It’s a very interesting world,” he told Netflix’s site Tudum. “I sincerely hope that (the audience) will be engrossed in the complicated, loving, unstable relationship between these two brothers.”
Bateman was immediately drawn to that push and pull. “These two modest things that capture me, with conflict embedded in their relationship with undeniable bonds. Not to mention the fact that it’s Jude Law that plays my brother.”
The two discussed the role of switching before settling on the parts. Bateman said:
Meanwhile, the law praised the turn where Bateman praised the mold. “On the page, Vince is unstable and unpredictable. And what’s extraordinary is, of course, that Jason brings this innocence, this beautiful favorite.”
