Meanwhile, PC gamers looking to master the game anew can pick up an 8BitDo Black Myth: Wukong-themed controller. Available in affordable wireless and wired editions, the controller is part of an official collaboration with GameScience and is based on 8BitDo’s Ultimate 2C model.
Externally, it has a transparent shell decorated with Black Myth: Wukong emblems and art, and internally it has the same look and feel as the 8BitDo Ultimate 2C controller.
This means you get a durable Hall-effect joystick and triggers, a turbo button, and an additional pair of remappable shoulder buttons that can be programmed on the fly without an app. Please note that the Ultimate 2C, as a lower priced option in the Ultimate lineup, is not compatible with 8BitDo’s customization app.
If you like the look of the 8BitDo Ultimate 2C but want a higher-end model, you can forego the Wukong-themed design and choose one of 8BitDo’s other Ultimate controllers.

There’s also a new 8BitDo Ultimate 3-Mode Xbox controller. If you got Wukong for Xbox and also plan to play the game on PC, you can get this officially licensed controller for $63 (was $70). What’s a little confusing here is the “3 modes” point. It works via Bluetooth on mobile devices, wirelessly using a 2.4GHz dongle on PC, and as a wired controller on Xbox. Otherwise, the 3-mode controller has the same advanced features, including support for the Xbox version of Ultimate software.
