Warner Bros. and DC Studios are offering Super Monday a new look with James Gunn’s highly anticipated Superman film. Written and directed by Gunn, the film is set to launch a new era in the DC Universe. The video includes unprecedented footage from the set, providing a glimpse into the range of cast interviews and productions. Look up.

“As a child, I loved the purity of Superman,” Gunn says. “It was a time when we were beginning to understand what a film was,” he was joined by DC Studios co-head and producer Peter Safran in the video. Peter Safran recalls Gunn’s early uncertainty about taking on the iconic character. “James didn’t know that Superman was in his future. He wasn’t sure that was what he should do. And then one day he called me and said, ‘I have a way… I know what I want to talk about.’ ”

Featurette also includes commentary from stars David Corenswet, Rachel Brosnahan, Nicholas Hoult, Nathan Fillion and Frank Grillo. Corenswet, who plays Clark Kent, can be seen making a joke with Lex Luthor of Hoult. Brosnahan takes a quick peek into the world of her character by saying, “Welcome to the Daily Planet!” “It was so much fun to finally bring the gang together,” she then reflects on the scope of the project. “We’re just starting out and are already deep and deep in the DC universe. With James Gunn, I think we can do that.”

Superman’s moral compass is the front and center of the film’s approach. “This character is noble and he’s beautiful,” Gunn says. Brosnahan said, “(He) is full of hope. He saves people because it’s the right thing. We can use it a little more.”

Superman continues to Clark Kent when he tries to reconcile Crypton’s legacy with human development. The film’s ensemble includes Isabela Mercedo, Eddie Gateggi, Anthony Carrigan and Millie Alcock. The latter is not a character as Supergirl yet.

Behind the scenes, you will be reunited with many of your longtime collaborators, including cinematographer Henry Braham, production designer Beth Mickle and costume designer Judianna Makowsky. The scores are composed by John Murphy (Suicide Squad) and David Fleming (Our Last).

Superman is scheduled to fly to Australian cinemas on July 10th, with the US being released on July 11th.
