Well, the plan was first developed in 2014 and literally took 10 years. But the long-awaited big-screen version of Minecraft, the perennially popular (but almost incomprehensible to our aging eyes) computer game, has finally arrived. The first look trailer has been released and it has become a reality.
When will the Minecraft movie be released in Australia?
The Minecraft Movie will be released in Australian cinemas on April 3, 2025.
What is a Minecraft movie?
I think it’s a block.
There’s little hard data on the ground, but the official synopsis says that the Minecraft movie follows four ordinary office workers who pass through some kind of interdimensional portal and encounter a strange monster that appears to be made of blocks. It depicts him being sucked into a realm (reminds me of another movie). If you think about it). This is the overworld, where our hero must master his imagination, fight evil piglins and zombies, and learn to go on magical adventures. Everything is done under the guidance of skilled craftsmen. Not Steve, the master builder.
This film comes from director Jared Hess, who previously directed Napoleon Dynamite, Nacho Libre, and…not much else, although Gentlemen Broncos also has its moments.
Minecraft movie cast
Garrett “Trash Man” Garrison is played by the hilarious big man Jason Momoa. Emma Myers plays Natalie. Daniel Brooks as Dawn. Sebastian Eugene Hansen as Henry. And Jack Black, a once-beloved enthusiastic salesman, plays Steve. Additionally, Jennifer Coolidge, Kate McKinnon, Jemaine Clement, and Matt Berry play roles whose exact personalities are shrouded in mystery.

Why we’re excited about the Minecraft movie
Hmm. Well, maybe, but so far this feels very common to us. It might be better for kids, no debate, but I’ll probably need to see more before I get too excited. Still, the game Minecraft is critically acclaimed and extremely popular, so it would be great if the movie could match that.
