This year’s Australian Children’s Content Summit (ACCS) will offer a $20,000 pitch award as part of its exclusive content pitch initiative.
The application is currently awarded. This allows registered representatives to present their original intellectual property directly to Mindeoo Pictures, a key partner at this year’s event, directly with early childhood development. The finalists will be revealed while communicating climate change during early childhood sessions during the summit, with winners announced at a later date.
Screen experts can also pitch one-on-one to representatives such as ABC and ABC commercial commissioning, audio, distribution and acquisition executives, Australia’s Children’s Television Foundation, Amazon Kids+, Apple TV+, ITV, Warner Bros Discovery, Odin’s Eye Entertainment, Merchantwise, and Nine Network Australia. There is also a panel of executives from the ABC, the UK BBC and Canada CBC.
The summit, which will be held at Coffs Harbour from August 25th to August 28th, will be held again by Emma Watkins, offering support for international guests, including Apple TV+ creative executive Christina Reynolds, as well as cute music and bus stop films from the organization, which have appeared as partners of Silver and Bronze, respectively.
Over the past two years, ACCS has attracted 260 delegates from 12 countries, including a renowned lineup of industry leaders, industry sessions, pitching opportunities, workshops, curated matchmaking, networking events, and outdoor experiences.
Suzanne Ryan, CEO of SLR Productions and founder of ACCS, said the event is delighted to create opportunities for creators to be seen, supported and celebrated on the global stage.
“With the presence of leading content decision-makers around the world, this year’s summit is committed to defending bold, original storytelling from today’s content makers,” she said.
Marie McCann, senior director of children’s content at CBC Kids, said she is excited to return to Coffs Port for the summit.
“The 2023 summit had the opportunity to better understand the Australian production scene, find some great projects and strengthen our connections with our broadcast partners,” she said.
“I’m looking forward to what 2025 has.”
Application for this year’s exclusive content pitch initiative is near July 25th. For more information about the Summit’s official program, click here.
