A broad cross-section of Australia’s creatives will share their journey from the region next month to screens as part of Lennox Head’s global summit, unveiling today’s full lineup.
Highlights have the first feature. From dreams to screens, producer Lisa Shaughnessy moderates the panels that make up director Kim Mordanto, producer Daniel Redford, writer/director Jube Kleck and Bronte’s photography producer Blake Northfield.
The development of documentaries with global appeal is the focus of Beyond Borders: Stories That Travel. Rush Films founder and producer Cody Greenwood and Projector Films co-founder Daniel Joyce share their expertise.
At the front of the episode is a springboard for success. The TV Writer’s Page-to-Photo Journey talks about Lucas Taylor (Blacksnow) and Claire Sludden (NCIS Sydney) on the path to becoming a writer in demand.
There are also case studies from filmmakers behind ABC titles such as Austin, Mystery Road: Origin, and FWENDS selected at the Sydney Film Festival.
Elsewhere in the lineup, former SBS scripted Julie Eckersley head, Melanie Roland (Lilydale film), Amelia Dalmawan (Totem), and Monique Malcahi (You’ve never done well). SPA Industry Growth Director Andy Barclay, ADG Executive Director Sophie Harper, AWG & AWGACS Claire Poulen, and Byron Bay Film Festival Director J’Aimee Skippon-Volke will explore the impact of AI on how to collect wheels in AI Fast Lane. Producer Kirsty Stark will be running a lunchtime learning session on how to make AI work for you.
The summit will also include committee members Confidential, where commissioners from Foxtel, Binge, ABC and SBS will reveal what is currently environmentally friendly.
The lineup announcement came after it was revealed that Screen Australia CEO Deirdre Brennan will be streaming the address for the event, which will be held from June 18th to 20th.
