Update: Nintendo Australia has confirmed that the incredible Hori Nintendo Switch 2 Piranha factory is coming to Australia. As a reminder, this is just as cute as it is a 480p webcam compared to the official camera with a 1080p camera.
There are no local prices, but we’ll let you know as soon as more details arise.
Nintendo announced that Nvidia’s AI technology can remove backgrounds and remove tracks for the Nintendo Switch 2, and while Nintendo has announced the official Nintendo Switch 2 camera, it said that other webcams are compatible (I don’t know which specs are needed).
Accessory maker Hori quickly unveiled its own Nintendo Switch 2 Webcam featuring so many cool differences. The first is that the webcam is designed in the shape of a Mario Piranha plant, and the mouth acts as a built-in privacy shutter.
The stand also acts as a USB extension, allowing the actual plant to be removed from the pot. This means you can place your webcam directly on Switch 2 and use it in portable mode.
There is no local pricing for this yet, but it’s cheaper than the official Switch 2 camera, which costs $69.95 locally. The camera can be used with new Nintendo chat features and games such as Mario Party Jamboree + Jamboree TV.
