Acmi’s Game World will bring some great gaming experiences to Melbourne

ACMI is expanding its Game World exhibition today as tickets go on sale. It will start on September 18th and bring over 40 experiences from games released between the 70s and upcoming games, including Hollow Knight.

Tickets are currently available for kids from $17 and adults at $26 and available here. The exhibition features major games such as:

Hollow Knight: Silkson (Team Cherry). Final Fantasy XIV Online (Square Enix), Minecraft (Mojang Studios) The Eider Scrolls Online (Zenimax Online Studios/Bethesda Softworks), Simcity (Electronic Arts) Stardew Valley (Infernectape) World OfWarcraft (Blizard Entertainment) The Sims (Electronic Arts) Neopets (World of Neopia)

The exhibition also features Australian games such as ISPOD by Queensland’s SBUG games, as well as iconic games such as Celeste and Teranil, as well as iconic ’80s/90s games such as Sentinel (Jeff Cranmond/Firebird), Hobbit (Melbourne House), Doom (ID Software/Bethes Deda Softworks), and Team Fores. Pioneering titles from the early 1970s (Greg Thompson and Dave Rebling), giant cave adventures (William Crowther), and groundbreaking text-based adventure game Zork (Infocom).

There’s also the darkness after late-night access, developer stories and industry events, including limited edition collectibles from Neopets, The Sims and Hollowknight.
