The PlayStation just dropped the PS5 update 25.02-11.00.00, and although it’s not as big as some of the huge feature updates I had on the PS5, there are a few new additions.
There are changes to activities that revolve around keeping spoilers safe and not being noticeable. In addition to improving stability, there are many changes to new emojis and parental controls.
The update is around 1.3GB so hopefully it doesn’t take much time to download before the nightly game starts.
New PS5 update feature
It’s made it easier to view details about activities. Activity details are now fully visible on the card. Potential spoilers are still hidden. Unicode 16.0 emojis are supported. Can be used in messages. Setting Parental Controls limit level to late teens now limits communications and user-generated content to defaults. If you have previously set a level to your late teens, your previous settings will not be affected and will appear as customizations. Improved system software performance and stability. Improved message and ease of use on some screens.
This could be the last major PS5 update that the PlayStation beta program drops before kicking, which gives early access to PS5 updates and other benefits to anyone who wants to watch the features and games early.
