Bloomberg reported that PlayStation is in the early stages of developing a portable console that can play PS5 games on the go.
The product is aimed at expanding Sony’s reach and competing with Nintendo in the portable market. The device is likely to take several years to launch, and Sony may avoid bringing it to market.
According to the Bloomberg report, the idea is based on the PlayStation Portal, but was originally intended to function as a standalone device like the Steam Deck, which the report also details.

The person said there was a possibility that the plan would be postponed, and spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss private plans.
