Netflix is recruiting extras to join its new drama series, which will be filmed in Western Australia’s southwest and Perth from January to June.
The casting call from Jessica Brooke Casting will invite expressions of interest from local residents in both areas, who will be asked to provide a current selfie and full body image.
Other required information includes surfing abilities and characteristics, as well as comfort level with hair preparation, wearing sea bathing/wetsuits/board shorts etc., nudity, intimacy, and use of prop guns.
Surfers are encouraged to upload videos demonstrating their abilities.
Further information about the series will be announced in the coming weeks.
This comes after Netflix announced its 2026 plans earlier this month, with titles coming to the streamer this year including the third and final season of Heartbreak High, historical drama My Brilliant Career, and Patrick Hughes’ action sci-fi War Machine.
The schedule also includes locally filmed projects such as the reality series “The Golden Ticket” and features such as “Apex” and “Mosquito Bowl.”
