Former Rising Sun Pictures president Jenny Zeiher has been appointed CEO of new visual effects studio Alsane VFX, based in Sydney and Adelaide.
Launched in August 2025, Alussein VFX is the first operating business of Alussein Holdings, which was founded by Tony Clark and Will Berryman in early February of the same year. The studio is introducing a new operating model that combines traditional filmmaking expertise with machine learning, artificial intelligence, advanced automation, and an adaptive pipeline.
As CEO, Mr. Zeiher will oversee the company’s long-term strategy, including operations, technology, organizational growth and planned global expansion.
Mr Zyher spent more than 17 years in various roles at Rising Sun Pictures, leading the company through a period of sustained growth, culminating in RSP being named Australian National Exporter of the Year 2024. She also drove the company’s early adoption of machine learning in 2018 through a partnership with the Australian Institute for Machine Learning (AIML), supported by the South Australian Government. This work has contributed to multiple accolades, including the 2024 Autodesk Design and Make Award for Accelerating the Transformation of Media and Entertainment, and Zeiher was awarded the 2024 South Australian Women in Innovation Award in Technology.
The move to Alussein VFX reunites Mr. Zeiher with Mr. Clark, one of RSP’s co-founders and managing director until the end of 2024.
Commenting on the appointment, Clark said, “Jenny’s rare combination of creative leadership, strategic foresight, operational rigor, and deep understanding of emerging technologies makes her uniquely qualified to lead Althein into its next chapter. Her vision aligns precisely with our commitment to rethinking how film narratives are created.”
Zeicher said the industry is at the end of a generational shift, and Althein will “make that generational shift meaningful, sustainable and transformative for both artists and filmmakers. This is not just about running a studio, it’s about co-designing the future of production.”
“At Althein, we challenge all assumptions about how creative work is done. My role is to lead the company toward a future where intelligence, imagination, and engineering come together to unlock a new generation of storytelling while building the systems and culture for great artists and technologists to succeed.”
Zeiher also serves on the advisory board of Brand South Australia and previously served on the boards of Ausfilm and the Australian arm of the Visual Effects Society.
