“Marty Supreme”, “Hamnet”, “The Pit”

The 2026 Golden Globes ceremony brought a night of quick turns, quiet upsets, and consequences that could spill over into the Oscars. Some of the front-runners turned their nomination strength into trophies, but some titles with big prizes at stake left them empty-handed.

On the film side, “One Battle After Another” was the biggest force of the night, winning multiple major awards, with Paul Thomas Anderson taking home Best Director and Best Original Screenplay. Hamnet won Best Motion Picture (Drama), Jessie Buckley won Best Actress (Drama), and Timothée Chalamet won Best Actor (Musical or Comedy) for Marty Supreme, ending his streak of awards season wins. In the supporting race, Teyana Taylor won for “One Battle After Another,” and Stellan Skarsgard won best supporting actor for “Sentimental Value.”

Elsewhere, Wagner Moura won Best Actor (Drama) for The Secret Agent, Best Motion Picture and Box Office for Sinners, and Best Original Score for Ludwig Göransson. The scoreboard felt less predictable than usual, with several notable nominees failing to turn nominations into wins, including Frankenstein, Wicked: For Good and It Was Just an Accident.

Television also brought about personnel changes. The limited series “Adolescence” had great success with Stephen Graham, Owen Cooper, and Erin Doherty all winning. Rhea Seehorn beats out candidates such as Kathy Bates (Matlock), Keri Russell (The Diplomat), and Vera Ramsey (The Last of Us) for lead role in Pluribus. Noah Wyle won Best Actor (TV Drama) for “The Pit,” beating out Gary Oldman (“Slow Horses”) and Adam Scott (“Severance”) in the category.

In the comedy category, The Studio won Best Television Comedy, Seth Rogen won Best Actor in a Television Comedy, and Jean Smart won Best Actress in a Television Comedy for Hux. Despite stars such as Selena Gomez, Steve Martin, Martin Short, Ayo Edebiri and Jeremy Allen White missing out on awards, familiar favorites like “White Lotus,” “Only Murders in the Building” and “Severance” were firmly in the nominations. The Globes’ expanding slate also continued with Best Podcast, which won Good Hang with Amy Poehler.

Below is a complete list of the 2026 Golden Globe Awards categories, winners, and nominees. We’ve also included videos of all available acceptance speeches so you can rewatch the night’s standout moments.
