Apple TV+ has released the official trailer for Season 3 of Shrinking. Watch the trailer above, then read on for the latest info, who’s (super) guest starring, and when it’s coming out.
In Season 3, grieving therapist Jimmy (Jason Segel) begins to break the rules and tell his clients exactly what he thinks. By ignoring his own training and ethics, he ends up making huge and turbulent changes in the lives of others, including himself.
The trailer confirms Michael J. Fox’s Shrinking debut, with Fox meeting Dr. Paul Rhodes (Harrison Ford) in a waiting room. “What are you here for?” Fox asks. “I have Parkinson’s disease. What about you?” Before Fox could interject, Paul replied, “I’m just going to cut my hair,” and they both laughed.
Paul has had Parkinson’s disease since season 1, and although he initially tried to hide it, he eventually faced the reality of his diagnosis. Fox’s guest role also marks a reunion with series co-creator Bill Lawrence, who previously worked with Fox on Spin City and Scrubs.
The principal cast includes Siegel, Ford, Christa Miller, Jessica Williams, Luke Tenney, Michael Urie, Lukita Maxwell, and Ted McGinley. Guest stars this season include Brett Goldstein, Damon Wayans Jr., Wendi Malick, Cobie Smulders, Michael J. Fox, and Jeff Daniels, with Daniels playing Jimmy’s father. Smulders returns after appearing as Sophie in season two.
The Shrink Season 3 will premiere globally on Apple TV+ on January 28 with a one-hour season premiere, followed by one new episode every Wednesday until April 8, 2026.
