Briarcliff Entertainment has released the official teaser trailer for Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die, the sci-fi action adventure starring Sam Rockwell and the long-awaited return of director Gore Verbinski (Pirates of the Caribbean, The Ring, Rango). Watch the trailer above and read important details below.
A stranger, drenched and wearing armor, enters a Los Angeles diner late at night, announces that he is from the future, and warns that “everything is going to go horribly wrong.” Rockwell plays a time traveler, decked out in a jury-grade cyberpunk suit, convinced he can still solve things if he can rally a few stunned patrons on a one-night mission to thwart a murderous AI. “The revolution begins tonight,” he tells them, and they stage a last-minute heist to save the world. The trailer includes hints of a flash of a destroyed tomorrow, with people sitting on piles of urban rubble trapped in VR headsets, and a sharp, pulpy twist on current technological anxieties.
Verbinski’s latest film is a combination of sci-fi thriller, dark comedy, and late-night hangout movie, a high-octane, infectiously outrageous film whose plot gets progressively weirder. Count me in for good measure.
The Rockwell-centric ensemble includes Haley Lu Richardson, Michael Peña, Zazie Beetz, Asim Chaudhry, Tom Taylor, and Juno Temple, all of whom seem to be on board with the film’s quirky tone and high-concept stakes.
Following its world premiere at Fantastic Fest in September, Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die garnered early attention and currently holds a 94% score on Rotten Tomatoes in its first wave of reviews.
Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die will be released in U.S. theaters on February 13, 2026.
