The Verge posted details about a long-rumored MMORPG set in the Horizon Zero Dawn universe, which was apparently posted in a public place online and publicly available for anyone to access.
The game is called Horizon Steel Frontiers and is developed by NCSoft and Sony and will be available for PC, iOS, and Android devices.
This game will obviously bring together Horizon’s iconic giant mechanical beasts, and you’ll obviously be able to play in a multiplayer environment to defeat them.
The 10-minute video interweaved gameplay with several prominent PlayStation staff members talking about the game. The Verge quotes Guerrilla Games studio director Jan-Bart van Beek as saying, “Horizon Steel Frontiers is a full-fledged MMORPG built specifically for mobile by NCSoft.”
The game is set in an area inspired by Arizona and New Mexico called Deathlands, and you’ll share the world with thousands of other players, sometimes cooperating and sometimes against each other.
Horizon Steel Frontiers is set to be announced tonight, and we expect more information once it’s officially announced, but The Verge has more details and screenshots here.
