Netflix has released the official trailer for Season 2 of The Man Within, which follows Ted Danson’s retiree-turned-mole Charles Nieuwendyk as he trades his nursing home for a college campus. Watch the teaser above and read important details below.
In Season 2, created by Mike Schur, Charles sends an undercover mission to his daughter’s alma mater, Wheeler College. There, the seemingly genteel world of liberal arts hides a new group of dangerous suspects.
“We are thrilled to be producing another season of A Man on the Inside starring young up-and-comer Ted Danson,” Schur told Tudam. “From our partners at Netflix and Universal TV to our writers, cast and crew, we have a truly exceptional team of talented and loving people, with one notable exception (young up-and-comer Ted Danson, who is kind of a nightmare).”
New face on campus
Season 2 adds a busy lineup to this quad. Gary Cole plays Brad Vinick, a wealthy graduate. Michaela Conlin plays economics professor Andrea Yee. Max Greenfield plays Jack Beringer, a university president who is knowledgeable about fundraising. Sam Huntington: Max Griffin, a journalism instructor who incites the mob. Jason Mantzoukas as Apollo Lambrakis, a contractor who aspires to be a novelist. Constance Marie, who plays Vanessa, is an ex-con who occasionally informs Julie. David Strathairn plays star British professor Dr. Cole. Jill Tully as weary parishioner Holly Bodgemark; Madison Hu plays the role of Claire, a junior student juggling work. Lisa Gilroy plays Kelsey Rose, a photographer who is newly married to Vinnick. Linda Park plays art director Elizabeth Muki. Mary Steenburgen plays Mona Malgadoff, a former musician involved in Charles’ latest case.
Who is back and who is behind it?
Returning from Season 1: Danson, Mary Elizabeth Ellis, Laila Richcreek Estrada, Stephanie Beatriz, and Stephen McKinley Henderson. Behind the scenes, Schull (Fremron) serves as executive producer alongside Morgan Sackett, David Miner (3 Arts), Maite Alberdi and Marcela Santibañez (Micromundo Productions), and Julie Goldman and Christopher Clements (Mott Pictures).
