Ariana Grande has completed filming Focker In-Law, the fourth installment of Ben Stiller’s comedy series.
Grande marked the wrapper on her Instagram merry-go-round, including a stone tablet revealing her character’s name, Olivia Jones, and wrote, “The last few months have been so, so, so special in ways you can’t imagine. I love Fockers, I love Burns… so I’m going to miss this bunch so much ♡. See you next November! ♡.”

What Stiller says about working with Grande
Earlier this year, Stiller praised the singer and actor for his on-set presence. “What was surprising, and perhaps not so surprising, was how amazingly she fit in,” Stiller said in an interview with E! News (quoted from Deadline).
“She’s very professional, very funny, very talented, obviously as a singer, but she was also very funny and great in ‘Wicked.’ What she’s doing in this movie is very unique, and she’s a very unique character. We have a lot of fun and I would love to work with her.”

Robert De Niro and Blythe Danner will also be returning to play Teri Polo. Beanie Feldstein and Skyler Gisondo are among the new generation of players, along with Eduardo Franco.
“Focker In-Law” was written and directed by John Hamburg. He co-wrote the previous three films, and his directorial credits include Stiller’s comedies “Along Came Polly,” “I Love You, Man,” and “Why Him?.”
So, what’s the plot this time?
While official plot details remain under wraps, we may know at least one key element of the film. The Hollywood Reporter hinted earlier this year that the story would center around the son of Greg Focker (Stiller) and Pam Barnes (Polo) who gets engaged to a formidable partner who may be completely wrong for him, and sources say Grande will play his fiancée. We’ll see how that dynamic collides with the Barnes-Focker family minefield this series is known for.
The end of the year is stacked up for Grande.
In-law Fokker enters a busy period for Grande. In addition to appearing in the series, she is also gearing up to promote Wicked: For Good and is planning a tour in 2026 in support of her seventh studio album, Eternal Sunshine. She also has a voice role in the animated version of “Oh, the Places You’ll Go!”
We’ll update once Universal finalizes further cast confirmations and an official plot line-up. So far: Grande has finished filming, Olivia Jones has been cast, and Fockers and Burns are one step closer to meeting their in-laws.
