‘Frankenstein’ final trailer: Netflix reveals the best look yet at Jacob Elordi’s monster

Netflix has released the final trailer for Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein. This trailer arrives just days before the film’s streaming release, and is the last meaty trailer to give us the clearest glimpse yet of director Jacob Elordi’s The Creature. Watch the trailer above and read the information below.

A final look: Creation, Consequences, and Collapse

“I never thought about what happens after creation,” Victor Frankenstein (Oscar Isaac) says in the trailer. This line is both a confession and a foreshadowing of what will happen next. The new preview doubles down on the brutality and heartbreak that ruins both creators and their work. “This is the way the world was,” says The Creature (Jacob Elordi). “They will hunt you down and kill you just because you are who you are.”

A condensation of del Toro’s commitment

Del Toro’s imprints are all over this production. Tenderness intertwined with fear, the uneasy bond between maker and made, and the pain of father and son. He said this on stage at Tudum 2025. “My stories kept me hooked over and over again, exploring the relationships between humanity and monsters, creator and creation, and father and son,” he said. “I knew I wanted to make this movie before I ever picked up a camera, and I’ve been actively pursuing this movie for 25 years.”

He added: “For me, this is the culmination of a journey that has taken me most of my life. I read Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein for the first time as a child and saw Boris Karloff[starringinthe1931filmadaptation]. It became almost a religious nation for me. The monster became my personal belief system.”

cast

Isaac (Ex Machina, Inside Llewyn Davis) and Elordi (Saltburn, Priscilla) will be joined by Mia Goth (X, Emma), Felix Kammerer (The Witcher, Ahsoka), David Bradley (Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio, the Harry Potter films), and Christian Convery (Sweet Tooth) alongside Charles Dance. (“Game of Thrones,” “Mank”) and Christoph Waltz (“Inglourious Basterds,” “Django Unchained”).

release date

Frankenstein is currently showing in select theaters in select regions and will be released on Netflix on November 7th.
