This shocking yet sobering feature-length documentary captures the current state of American school safety rituals. Where classrooms have become tactical training grounds, bulletproof backpacks have become armor, and in a country where mass shootings have become part of daily life, the conference will introduce the latest survival tools. Equal parts absurd and eerily realistic, the film tracks the $3 billion mass shooting response industry and its impact on students and educators, and asks important questions. In other words, what are the unintended consequences of intense preparation? How can a focus on combating violence obscure efforts to treat the causes of gun violence and seek prevention?
