Netflix has revealed when the Straw Hats will officially set sail again. One Piece Season 2 is titled “One Piece: To the Great Passage” and will be premiered worldwide on March 10, 2026. The announcement arrived with a brand new poster (below) teasing the crew’s icy adventures on Drum Island.
Voyage to new waters
The second season picks up where the hit first season left off, as Monkey D. Luffy (Inyaki Godoy) and his crew finally enter the legendary Great Passage. According to Netflix, the new chapter will see the Straw Hats visit Loguetown, Reverse Mountain, Whiskey Peak, Little Garden, and Drum Island, each of which promises high-stakes encounters and strange new landscapes.
“Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates set sail for the Grand Line, a legendary sea where danger and wonder await at every turn,” the official synopsis teases. “They will encounter strange islands and many terrifying new enemies as they journey through this unpredictable realm in search of the world’s greatest treasures.”
Winter Kingdom and Further Challenges
Co-showrunner, writer, and executive producer Joe Tratz gave a glimpse of what will happen in the Drum Island storyline. “Drum Kingdom is a winter island. It’s a medieval Winterfell filming location for ‘Game of Thrones,’ and there’s a haunted castle on top of a snowy mountain, inhabited by a figure the villagers say is a witch,” Toraz told Netflix site Tudum.
The filming took place in Cape Town, South Africa, where there is a lack of snow. “We brought in mountains of fake snow,” Tolatz said. “It tricks your brain into thinking it’s supposed to be cold even though it’s summer because of the fake snow everywhere.”
Tolatz also teased the scale of the next season: “Everything’s going to be bigger. We’re going to see giants and dinosaurs. We’re going to end up in the belly of the whale. Basically, our mantra for season two is, ‘We’re going to scale everything up.'” At the end of the first season, the characters made this vow around a barrel to make their dreams come true. And Season 2 puts that dream to the test. Every island we visit in Grand Line will challenge the Straw Hat Pirates in their own way, and they will learn that they must depend on each other to make their dreams come true. ”
A new face joins the adventure
In addition to returning main cast members such as Makkenyu as Zoro, Emily Ladd as Nami, Jacob Romero as Usopp, and Taz Skyler as Sanji, season 2 will feature a number of characters from Eiichiro Oda’s manga. Michaela Huber stars as fan-favorite Tony Tony Chopper, along with Lela Abova as Nico Robin, Joe Manganiello as Sir Crocodile, Charisa Chandran as Bibi Nefertari, Sendhil Ramamurthy as Kobra Nefertari, Daniel Lasker as Mr. 9, Camrus Johnson as Mr. 5, Jasara Juslin as Miss Valentine, and David Dastmalchian as Miss Valentine. Starring Mr. 3, Dolly as Werner Kusser, Brendan Murray as Broggy, Callum Carr as Smoker, Julia Rehwald as Tashigi, Rob Colletti as Wapol, Ty Keogh as Dalton, Katey Sagal as Dr. Kureha, Mark Harelik as Dr. Hiluluk, etc.
The live-action One Piece series, produced by Tomorrow Studios (partner of ITV Studios) and Netflix in partnership with Shueisha, has already been renewed for season 3, confirming that the voyage of the Grand Line is not yet over.
