Sony brought INZONE to the event for the first time and made a strong first impression at PAX Australia 2025, but they didn’t come quietly. Taking over a dedicated booth on the show floor, Sony was there to prove that INZONE was more than just a side brand for PlayStation accessories. This was a full-fledged declaration that Sony wanted to be the company of choice for both competitive PC and console gamers.
And based on what we saw, they might be onto something.
INZONE H9 II – Noise canceling comfort meets FPS detail
The flagship announcement was the INZONE H9 II, Sony’s new high-end wireless headset co-developed with Fnatic’s pro FPS team. Weighing just 260g, the H9 II quickly attracted attention for its exceptional comfort, including soft padding, a flexible boom mic, and a headband that seamlessly adapts to different head shapes.
But it’s the audio engineering that makes it tournament-ready. Sony’s carbon composite diaphragm drivers deliver a powerful yet controlled soundstage designed to track footsteps, reloads, and directional movements – the little details that can make or break an FPS round. Combined with virtual 7.1 surround processing, the headset delivered clear spatial awareness without bloating the mix.
Sony’s dual noise sensor technology blocks out everything from the hum of your PC fan to distant construction noise. The noise cancellation was powerful enough to create an immersive experience, even when standing in the chaos of PAX. The cardioid boom mic, on the other hand, handled vocal clarity well and sounded surprisingly natural without the typical compressed “gaming mic” tone. AI-based noise filtering effectively cuts out background chatter, keeping communication clear during team play.
Dual wireless system (low-latency 2.4 GHz USB-C dongle for audio + Bluetooth for chat/apps) makes it perfect for streamers, Discord warriors, or players juggling console and mobile. The 30-hour battery life and play while charging mode sealed the deal.
INZONE E9 – In-ear precision for esports purists
Not everyone wants an over-ear headset. Sony’s answer to that crowd is the INZONE E9, a noise-blocking in-ear monitor-style alternative. It was also co-developed with Fnatic.
Rather than active noise cancellation, the E9 relies on a fully sealed housing and highly insulated chip to create a passive shield against external noise. For competitive players, this may be desirable. There’s no pressure or processing artifacts, just pure isolated focus.
Equipped with 5mm drivers and connected via a USB-C audio box, the E9 delivers 360 spatial sound and 7.1 virtual surround via an INZONE hub. In testing, footstep and shot direction were pinpoint accurate, making it a legitimate option for pros looking for tournament portability without sacrificing positioning details.
Comfort is often an issue with IEMs, and Sony offers four different tip options along with a low-profile cable that fits comfortably under earmuffs or hats, making them perfect for noisy arena environments or LAN setups. The included carrying case fits snugly over both the earphones and audio box, allowing for quick setup for events and sessions.
INZONE KBD-H75 – Compact, fast, and tuned for tournament play
A surprising standout in Sony’s lineup was the INZONE KBD-H75, a 75% mechanical keyboard built in collaboration with pro players from Fnatic. With a minimal footprint but rich in technology, this board combines a machined aluminum chassis, rapid trigger switch, and 8000Hz polling rate for near-instantaneous input response.
The biggest feature is that the actuation point can be adjusted from 0.1 mm to 3.4 mm, allowing players to switch between feather touch and deep press depending on their playstyle. The Rapid Trigger feature also allows you to re-register inputs faster without having to do a full reset, making it perfect for counter-strafes and quick ability taps in FPS and MOBA titles.
The gasketed aluminum plate provides a firm yet cushioned feel for a calm, premium typing experience, and the double rails and long-key stabilizer keep large keys like Space and Shift from wobbling. The integrated aluminum volume dial is the coolest thing ever, giving you instant in-game control without having to press tab.
INZONE Mouse-A & Mat Series – Speed and Control
Rounding out the setup is Sony’s new INZONE Mouse-A. This is a 48.4g wireless mouse designed specifically for esports play. Built with Fnatic input, the lightweight frame uses polyamide reinforced with glass microspheres to remain rigid without bending. The grip shape was well-balanced with both claw and fingertip styles, and the combination of a custom 3950IZ sensor, optical switch, and 8000Hz polling allowed for lightning-fast operation without sacrificing stability.
Sony also showcased two INZONE mouse mats that are tailored to different playstyles.

Both feature stitched edges and non-slip lining for long-lasting durability.
final thoughts
Sony’s first PAX Aus appearance with INZONE was more than just a showcase, it was a statement of intent. Rather than relying solely on the PlayStation brand, Sony has planted its flag firmly in the PC esports and cross-platform gaming space.
All of our gear is co-developed with pro players, and that shows through performance-first engineering rather than flashy RGB gimmicks.
Whether you’re a console grinder or a ranked PC sweater, there’s something about INZONE that deserves your attention.
