‘Family Plan 2’ Trailer: Mark Wahlberg vs. Kit Harington in Apple TV+ Sequel

The official trailer for Apple TV+’s action-comedy sequel Family Plan 2 starring Mark Wahlberg and Michelle Monaghan has arrived. Watch the trailer above and read the info.

Dan Morgan (Wahlberg) is looking for a stress-free overseas vacation with his wife Jessica (Monaghan) and children. Then a ghost from his past, Game of Thrones alum Kit Harington, shows up with unfinished business. The itinerary changes from museums to mayhem. A bank robbery, a weasel chase, and a family argument that doubles as team-building across Europe.

Michelle Monaghan teased the sequel, calling the People sequel “just as action-packed, fun and heartwarming as the original, but this time set against the beautiful backdrop of London and Paris during the holidays.” He added: “It’s so magical. It’s a movie the whole family can enjoy. It’s adventurous, laugh-out-loud funny and very moving.”

On filming across Europe: “It was a treat to shoot at so many amazing landmarks. Seeing the Eiffel Tower glowing at night from a barge on the Seine was incredible. We were all grinning from ear to ear.”

In addition to Wahlberg, Monaghan, and Harington, the cast also includes Zoe Colletti, Van Crosby, Reda Elazwaal, and twins Peter and Theodore Lindsay, who play the youngest character, Morgan. Simon Celan-Jones (Arthur the King) returns as director, and David Coggeshall (Orphan: First Kill) returns as screenwriter.

2023’s Family Plan received a harsh 29% rating from critics on Rotten Tomatoes, but the review aggregation website’s audience was more kind, giving it a 60% score. Despite critical consensus, the first film became one of the most-watched movies on Apple TV+ until George Clooney and Brad Pitt’s film Wolfs toppled it. This explains why we’re back to minivans.

Family Plan 2 will be streaming on Apple TV+ starting November 21st.
