Magic: Gathering’s latest Universal Beyond Expansion, Marvel’s Spider-Man, is rocking in a store featuring everyone’s favorite web sling heroes, multiverse cameos, and new mechanics into the magical world.
Thanks to Wizards of the Coast, we’ll check the set and send you a kit to see which cards you pulled.
We were able to pull one of the cards we were sought from the set. The fact that the number that was heading towards five numbers last time is not a rare top-level variation. Soul Stone is quite popular as it offers both the advantages of mana lamps and cards and is useful at every stage of the game.
This was the key highlight card I was able to pull. I look at the deck of the new Commander and as someone who hasn’t jumped into the white. As someone who played the hard, rocking, hardy monogreen, the resuscitation synergy of this card is something I am keen to give a swirl.
As a collector of flashy themed glossy lands (yes, I have a binder for them) – Marvel’s Spider-Man fits nicely into this empty page with various locations around New York, a Spider-Man playground.
This set introduces two new elements in the mix: Websling and Mayhem.
Web sling is not an easy addition to the game. A new keyword feature that allows you to cast cards at an alternative (often reduced) cost when returning a tap creature in your hand. This goes hand in hand with what Spider-Man is, agility and bouncing off the battlefield.
In Mayhem, the second major mechanic, you can reorganize cards from the graveyard at alternative costs, but the turn was discarded. Both bring flavors from the iconic series into the magical world.

Generally, as a fan of comics and movies (Sam Raimi’s is accurate) – Spider-Man arrives in Magical Magic is a combination of two favorites for me. It’s not Lord of the Rings, but this is my favorite series that will hit magical gatherings. The Spider-Man treatments and cards are a ton of nostalgia for me and for many other fans.
