The first teaser trailer arrived with Emerald Fennell’s new take on Emily Bronte’s classic 1847 novel, Australian stars Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi as leads. Please read the trailer above and read the information.
Story & Cast
The story follows the wealthy Catherine Earnshaw (Robbie) and the orphan Heathcliff (Elrudi). It’s a destructive pairing that drags two families of two families where the class and revenge are not far apart.
Apart from Robbie and Eroludi, the cast also includes Hong Chau, Martin Crunes and adolescent breakout Owen Cooper.
Teaser
The teaser leans against tension: prolonged looks, corsets pull tight, hands kneading bread and intentionally cracking eggs. Erorudi struggles with the Moors – the catchphrase for “Drive Me Mad” flashes – and it’s clear that we’re in a more provocative, more open erotic reading in Bronte. “Do you want me to stop?” Heathcliff asks Catherine. “No,” she replies.
Behind the scenes and release dates
It looks like another hot topic of Fennell movie. Fennell was asked to talk to her previous two features. Warner Bros. won the bid contest for the project after Netflix thought it had committed about US$150 million, as reported by its deadline last October. Warner Bros. reportedly provided about half of that, but defeated Netflix with a promise of a global theatrical release.
The film features original songs from Charli XCX and scores from Anthony Willis. Fennell will be reunited with Oscar-winning cinematographer Linus Sandgren (LA LA LALAND, SALTBURN) and production designer Suzie Davies (Saltburn, Conclave).
Wuthering Heights is scheduled to be a hit in cinemas on February 14th, 2026 on Valentine’s Day.
