The official trailer has arrived for Hotel Costiera, Prime Video’s upcoming action drama series led by Jesse Williams (Gray’s Anatomy). The series plant marine-turned-fixed Fixus on Italy’s Amalfi Coast, where luxury and danger share the same address. Please read the trailer above and read more about it.
Williams plays Daniel de Luca, a former Italian Marine who returns to Positano’s childhood home. He takes on a job as a fixer in one of the world’s most exclusive hotels, dealing with the various issues faced by wealthy guests. “You solve other people’s problems, not your own,” he says in the trailer. He replies: “I will eventually become mine.”
Perhaps his most important job is to track down Alice, one of the daughters of the hotel owner, who disappeared a month ago. As the show outline states, “Daniel has to do everything he can to bring her home, but facing the person who invited the girl is more challenging than any of the problems he has ever faced.”
Daniel reunites the team and helps them find the girl. “How much are you paying us?” asks team member Jenny (Jordan Alexandra, King of Winter). “Thrill doesn’t pay bills, boy.”
The cast combines familiar faces with international names. Maria Chiara Giannetta, Antonio Geraldi, Sam Hagers, Tomaso Laguno, Amanda Campana, Pierpaolo Spron, Alejandra Onieva and Jean Hugue Ungrade join Williams.
The six-episode series was written by Elena Bucaccio (Devils), Matthew Parkhill (Nautilus), and Francesco Arlanch (Medici), working from the idea of Luca Bernabei. The three episodes were directed by Emmy-winning Adam Bernstein (Fargo, Silo), and three were directed by Giacomo Martelli (Doc – Nelle Tue Mania). The series is co-produced by Amazon MGM Studios and Lux Vide from Fremantle Company.
All six episodes of Hotel Costiera will be streamed globally on Prime Video from September 24th.
