Netflix has dropped the official trailer for Wayward, a limited series thriller for Creator-Star’s Mae Martin (Feal Good), starring Oscar-nominated Toni Collette. Check out the trailer above and read the essentials.

Photo – The perfect town. A problematic academy. Something is off. Police officer Alex Dempsey (Martin) travels with his pregnant wife Laura (Sarah Gadon) and quickly crosses the path with students Abby (Sidney Topriff) and Leila (Alivia Allyn Lind).
School advertisers vow to “solve adolescent problems.” Anxiously calm leader Evelyn Wade (Collette), warns the restrained newcomer, “I can’t wait to meet you a new one,” another voice warns: “The kids come in, and something else comes out.” And with the thickness of it, Abby clocks the atmosphere: “This place is bad.”
Why did May Martin make it?
“I often write characters that talk mainly about adolescents and handle teens. It was a very intense time for me, and a very intense time for everyone, but I wanted to dive more directly into the feelings of all the visceral feelings of that time and adolescence,” Martin tells the Netflix site Tudum.
“I was a selfish teenager in the early 2000s, and my best friend was sent to one of the teenage labs who had these issues when I was 16,” explains Martin. “She came back and had the craziest story about it.”

Co-star Ryan Scott (fears the Walking Dead) said, “We wanted to explore whether a generation would always hate the next person. We slowly transformed into an adult once (or still) once, and as for our transformation, we’ll fight it and try to protect our teenagers.
