It feels like an important day in the game as Xbox’s most iconic franchise (at least 360 ERA) came to PlayStation, but the PlayStation’s biggest IP was its release in the last few years on Xbox (the DLC on Xbox’s second largest IP is available as well).
Of course I’m talking about Gears of War, Helldivers 2 and Halo just in case you’re not getting any attention.
As of today, Gears of War: Reloaded is available on PS5 (and Xbox/PC). It offers campaigns and multiplayer in multiplayer with brand new graphics, and is even better than ever on the PS5 Pro.

On the flip side, PlayStation announced that Helldivers 2 is a huge success with the Xbox Series X | S. Of course, they chose today to release it. It’s completely cross-platform, so you can play with friends on your PlayStation or PC. This is a pretty big deal considering that it is not only a huge game on PlayStation, but it also seems like it’s the longest-lasting opposition to cross-play.
If that wasn’t weird enough for you, launching today is the first legendary warbond within Halo Odst Warbond’s Helldivers 2 (all platforms).
This brings you outfits, guns, patterns and many other merchandise from the Hello Onst to the world of Heldi Bar 2, further promoting a shift within the game space.
It’s clear that Xbox is diversifying where content lives. This isn’t very new, but allowing PlayStation to release Helldivers 2 on Xbox, as well as incorporate Halo, is also a big win for everyone and shows that it’s keeping the idea warm.
Gears of War: Reloaded is currently available for $49 on the PS5 with free shipping from Amazon, and you can grab it here.
