Walt Disney Company has appointed Tony Zameczkowski, one of the founding leaders of Netflix’s APAC team, as Senior Vice President and General Manager of Consumer Business in Asia Pacific.
In his new role, Zameczkowski will take responsibility for driving Disney+ across the region, reporting to APAC President Luke Kang and Disney Entertainment President Joe Earley.
He joined the Netflix team, where he was vice president and regional co-head and head of the partnership. With 25 experience, he also played a role on YouTube, founding the music business at APAC and led strategic partner development on Warner Bros. International TV in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Paris.

Zameczkowski said he was excited to lead Disney+’s momentum in APAC, a region where “there are great growth opportunities to unlock”;

In 2025, Disney launched ESPN with Disney+ in Australia and New Zealand, continuing to debut premium original slates from Korea, Japan and Australia. On Disney+ in Japan, the second season of Japan’s live-action Gunnival was the most watched first premiere of the second quarter, and the fastest title ever to reach 1 million hours streamed on the service. Most recently, Crime Thriller Nine Puzzle has become the most viewed Korean title on Disney+Global this year
In the coming months, new APAC originals will premiere, including Tempest, The Murky Stream, The Manipulated, Made in Korea, Cat’s Eye, Wandance and Disney Twisted Wonderland. The animation will premiere.
