The trailer arrived for this paper, the new mockmentary series by office creator Greg Daniels.
Please read the trailer above and read more about it.
The same documentary crew, brand new workplace
After nine seasons that captured the daily chaos of Dunder Mifflin’s Scranton branch, the office’s documentary crew has a new theme: The Toledo Truth Teller. Once a historic Midwest newspaper, the publication is now fighting for survival. The camera is there to capture every step that is both troublesome and unprepared.
Domhnall Gleeson leads as newly hired editor-in-chief Ned Sampson was brought to bring life to the failed paper. The enthusiasm is there, but the journalistic qualifications of the staff remain what they want. One cites a middle school paper, the other prides herself on their tweets, and someone else offers their group chat contributions as a related experience.
A familiar face from the office
Nodding to the series’ roots, Oscar Nuñez is back as Oscar Martinez. He is not at all excited to see the documentary’s crew again. The trailer shows him meeting on their return with a distinctive gross.
The cast includes Sabrinine Patch Ator (White Lotus), Chelsea Frey (Moody’s), Melving Legg (American Vandal), Gubemi Solik Mello (his own league), Alex Edelman (for us alone), Ramona Young (I’m never me), and Timkey (this time with Timkey with Alan Partridge).
Behind the camera
Created by Greg Daniels and Michael Coman (Nathan for You), the series has an impressive lineup of directors including Daniels, Ken Kwapis, Paul Lieberstein and Jennifer Selotta. Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant – the heart behind the original UK office – is also part of the executive producer along with Howard Klein, Ben Silverman and Banijay Americas.
release date
The paper showed four episodes on September 4th at Peacock in the US and Binge/Foxtel in Australia, with new episodes released weekly.
