BBC Studios and ABC’s four “Bluey” short form series

BBC Studios and ABC have co-edited four Bluey Short Form series inspired by the core themes of Ludo Studio Juggernaut.

It includes Blue Tune from the Singer Series, Blue Dolls from the Craft Series, Food-themed Blue Cookers and Blue Fancy Restaurants.

Each is co-produced by BBC Studios Digital Brands and BBC Studios Kids & Family, ABC and external production partners.

They are in demand in the US, with Australia’s ABC Iview, Disney Jr., Disney Channel and Disney Jr. airing on Disney+Global. You can also watch the Bluey and Disney Jr. YouTube channel.

The new release is built on the previous short series Bluey Dance Alongs and Bluey Book Reads, as well as Bluey Minisodes, a collection of 1-3-minute episodes featuring funny, sweet moments that aired last year.

Produced on A+C Studios and insignificant TV, Bluey Tunes blends stop motion, animation and graphics in a 10 x 1-2 minute music video series set on the show’s top tracks.

The simple prank helped create a blue doll following the creation of fleece dolls based on the characters of the show. Each episode takes 3-5 minutes each and includes a downloadable craft sheet.

Taste Creative Studios worked for both Bluey Fancy Restaurant and Bluey Cookalongs, based on BLBC Studios’ 2025 Bluey brand theme “Let’s Play Chef.”

Fancy Restaurant (10 x 5-8 minutes) is filmed across Australia, inviting children to recreate Bluey and Bingo’s Fancy Restaurants at home for their parents. Meanwhile, Cookeron (10 x 5 minutes) brings real-life family together to recreate recipes inspired by Bluey’s beloved meal moments, the moment the kids take the lead in the kitchen.

“We are excited to launch these four new short series that will not only expand the Bluey world, but also deepen the way fans can engage in it,” said BBC Studios SVP Digital Jasmine Dawson.

“Our strategy is to put fandom at the heart of everything by creating a variety of content that invites participation, induces creativity and brings together families. Dance, craft, cooking, and more, these series are designed to celebrate and perform the joy of blue-inspired by fans all over the world.”

ABC is head of children and family Mary Ellen Murane, and the broadcaster said he is excited to continue working with the BBC Studios and Ludo Studio teams.

“We are extremely proud to be home to Bluey in Australia and look forward to bringing this creative content collection to ABC audience soon.”
