The Predator Universe has just made one of its biggest moves and is not a new live-action film. Animated feature predators revised epilogue: Killers of Killers, announced at San Diego Comic-Con 2025, revealing a new game-changing ending that will bring back two of the franchise’s most iconic characters.
Killers of Killers previously surprised that Amber Midlander’s Naru (the main character of prey) was captured by Yautya and placed in a suspended animation mounted on one of the ships. But this new version goes further. An updated epilogue shows the camera continues across the chamber, and not only Naru, but Predator 2’s Mike Harrigan (Danny Glover), reveals Predator 2’s Mike Harrigan (Danny Glover), which is preserved in the cryopod.
Living – and Photo: The meaning of the outcome for the Netherlands and Harrigan
New scenes do not retcon the original film, but add big new developments. In Predator (1987), the Dutch of Schwarzenegger survives an alien showdown and is rescued the following morning by a helicopter. Predator 2 was awarded as a sign of honor by Glover’s Harrigan, who survived the battle in Los Angeles. It is not shown that either one is being captured. This new scene is a great revelation that recontexts their fate.
Rather than simply falling off the grid or dying on the screen, it appears that at some point both men were captured after each encounter. And now they join Naru as part of the mystical Yautsya collection. It is a terrifying outlook and opens up the possibilities of a fresh story.
Schwarzenegger signed off – and there could be more
Dan Racchetenberg, director of Killers and Predator: Badlands, revealed that Arnold Schwarzenegger personally approved a Dutch animated appearance after a private breakfast meeting at Comic Con. Trachtenberg did not confirm that, but he teased:
Glover’s Harrigan also appears in the ending, but it is not yet clear whether the actor was directly involved or whether further use of the characters is planned.
Killer of Killers is now streaming on Hulu in the US and Hulu and Disney+ in international regions, including Australia.

What about the other appearances?
This ending now appears to be an official continuation of the Dutch and Harrigan story, but fans have seen both characters return in other media over the years. That being said, much of it is in dark Canon territory.
In particular, the Netherlands has a broad history beyond the original film. Predator: Hunting Ground video game shows Dutch (voiced by Schwarzenegger) often carry out his Yautzha hunting missions in old age. He also appeared in comics, novels, and aliens vs. Predator arcade games.
Harrigan’s Post Predator 2 Life was less detailed, but he appears in the short story of Drug Wars from Anthology Predator. This story saw him in Rio de Janeiro in 2022 and was caught up in a hunt for another predator while working as a gangster violence advisor.
It is unknown whether any of these extended universe stories are still “counted.” In particular, the franchise leaps towards a more unified and streamlined myth between prey, the badlands and now murderers.
Legacy Characters, New Purpose
With this new ending, Killer of Killer’s Bridge bridges the franchise’s old corners and new corners, providing a kind of narrative glue between the ’80s and ’90s entries and recent prey. It’s not just about regaining legacy characters for nostalgia. It puts them in a position to make them part of the future.
Whether this leads to an animated follow-up, a prey sequel or even a new live-action crossover, Yautja has more than a trophy.
Just like the Netherlands and Harrigan…
