As you can imagine, Gen V isn’t trying to start pulling punches in his sophomore season. The newly released full trailer above, announced at the show’s SDCC 2025 panel, found Godolkin University in a darker place than ever before.
Marie (Jazz Sinclair), Jordan (London Thor and Derek Lu), and Emma (Litze Broadway) return after surviving the forest.
There is a new Dean in town, where Hamish Linklater plays with calming calm — and he pushes a cruel new vision for the school. A mysterious secret program is resurrected, dating back to the establishment of God, and may rebuild the balance between man and soup. Somewhere in the middle of it all is Marie, once again caught up in the middle of a plot far larger than her.
Face and amazing cameos
The trailer confirms that boys will appear this season, including Erin Moriarty’s Starlight, who pulls Marie from the mystical facility. Chase Crawford’s The Deep and Nathan Mitchell’s Black Noir also line up the ride.
A short flash of Andre’s files nods to the tragic loss of actor Chance Perdomo. His father, Polarity (Shawn Patrick Thomas), is now a regular in the series and is likely to carry emotional weight throughout the season. Also featured in the cast are Ethan Slater as Thomas Godolkin. This is the founder of a university that may not be as noble as the school song suggests.
A new war brewing
As Homelander’s rule grows stronger, it is clear that the war heats up both on-campus and off-campus. Students are torn between party and survival, but all secrets, lies and experiments begin to close. And somehow, Marie is the key to all of that.
Gen V Season 2 will premiere on Prime Video on September 17th with three episodes of release. The weekly episodes continue, closing with the finale on October 22nd.
