The July 2025 Pokemon Presents Stream went away after it was announced almost a month ago. It wasn’t one of their strongest shows, but here are some fresh new looks for upcoming titles such as Pokemon Champions and Pokemon Legend: ZA. All the biggest announcements from the stream.
I’ve seen Pokemon legend for a long time: ZA
The next entry in the Pokémon Legends Subseries aims to be a substantial shakeup. This new look of the game gives an overview of the story and general gameplay loops while flaunting the new Mega Evolutions. Lumiose City, Legends: Za from Pokémon X and Y step into fresh new trainer shoes invited to Team MZ. The purpose of MZ is simple. Protecting Lumiose city. We have a few core members like Naveen and Lida. They spend their days in Lumiose City and are sure to play a major role in the storyline of the game.
Lumiose City changes as you travel through the day and night cycles. Every day, explore the city and find Pokemon to catch and add to your party. In the evening, you can compete with Za Royale with Pokemon you trained to climb ranks. Proceed with Za Royale to unlock battles with more powerful trainers.
Apart from fighting, there are many other activities involved in Lumiose. You can change your hairstyle, looks and clothing. It features a level of trainer customization that you’ve never seen in any previous Pokemon games. It also has a built-in photo mode, allowing you to hang out with Pokemon in various places around town. As you explore, you will continue to meet other characters in Lumiose. As always, there is another pokedex to fill out and complete as you progress through the story.
Perhaps the most exciting thing is focusing on the mega evolution of Pokemon Legend: ZA. This mechanic, introduced in Pokemon X and Y, is back. Only wild Pokemon can evolve their mega on their own and go unfairly. You need to use your own mega evolution to fight fire with fire to neutralize the threat. You can also take Team MZ allies to help. Additionally, the new Mega Evolution was unveiled at Mega Dragonite.
The Nintendo Switch 2 Edition is scheduled to continue to be released on October 16th, and the upgraded Nintendo Switch 2 Edition is available at launch. Also coming is the Nintendo Switch 2 bundle, which includes a digital copy of Legends: Za. Check out the new footage below.
Pokemon Champion is scheduled to be released in 2026
The Pokemon Champion, which was revealed in previous Pokemon presents this year, focuses purely on Pokemon battles. Developed for Switches and mobile devices, you can bring your own Pokemon from Pokemon Home and fight in battle, or use the Pokemon available in Pokemon Champion.
Recruit Pokemon and fight alongside you to form a team. When you’re ready, you can dive into online ranked battles and private battles. It appears that only one double battle and double battle will be available at the time of release, but we hope we can add more in the future. Plus, Pokemon can be trained and trained in a more flexible and convenient way than ever before. You can set statistics, movement, nature, and ability. It looks like a ruffled Pokemon fighting experience that cuts the many preparations that come with competitive play.
It is scheduled to be released in 2026 on Nintendo Switch and Mobile. You can see the gameplay overview below.
Pokémon Friends is a new puzzle game currently available
While waiting for the mainline title, Pokemon projects always seem small. Next up is a Pokemon friend. This is a brand new puzzle game that can be used on Nintendo Switch and mobile devices.
We show off over 1,200 puzzles with promises of new things every day. Once you pass the puzzle, you can decorate your in-game luxury rooms with pokemon gorgeous toys. The puzzles also look quite different, so it could be a great thing about daily brain teasers, especially for Pokemon fans.
The game is currently available on iOS, Android, and Nintendo Switch Eshop. Please see the trailer below.
Wallace & Grommit creators are creating a stop motion animated Pokemon series
Perhaps one of the coolest surprise announcements on the stream is that Aardman Animation Studio reveals that it is creating a Stop Motion Animation Pokemon series. Peter Lord, co-founder and creative director of Ardman, took the stage and expressed his excitement to work on the project. He said it would be set in an area close to Aardman’s heart, perhaps an inspirational galler in England. This series is called Pokemon Story: Surfetch and Picchu’s Unhappy Adventures.
If their previous works are something to be interrupted, this series should be a banger. It was announced in 2027, but there is a short teaser that you can check below.
If you’re considering pre-ordering the Pokemon Legend, ZA offers free $99 from Amazon for $99 for free shipping on your Nintendo Switch 2 or $78 for free shipping on your OG Switch.
