Made Up Stories combines creator and producer Imogen Banks with Strife Collaborator Asher Keddie to adapt to Australian writer Sally Hepworth’s novel The Soulmate for Television.
The 2022 novel follows the married couple Pippa and Gabe. Pippa and Gabe have two sweet young girls, a supportive family, and a picturesque cliff-center home. Gabe moved to the cliff house and then became a local hero, talking about seven of them leaving the edge. However, when Gabe fails to save the 8th, Amanda, a mysterious woman named Amanda, begins to unravel, pushing the bond of loyalty and love to the brink.
Announced as part of this year’s Future Vision Summit, the television adaptation will be produced by Papandrea, Steve Hutensky and Katia Moss for the structured stories of stories for Banks, Keddy, Hepworth, Rob Weissbach and Fiona Ceres in Kindling Photography.
Sally Hepworth
This is the second collaboration between Hepworth and Makeup Story after she announced last year that she had chosen her ninth novel, “Darling Girls.”
Hepworth said he is pleased to continue his creative relationship with the Makeup Story team.
“There’s a kind of magic to find a creative partner who’s as passionate about your story as you do. That’s what I found with Bruna, Steve, Katie and the team at Makeup Stories,” he said.
“I’m excited to work with them to work with Imogen, Usher, Rob and Fiona to adapt my soulmates. This is a novel that strives to delve deeper into layered, complex truths about marriage, loyalty and the secrets we protect from those we love most.”
