Netflix has announced a tense teaser trailer for Horstage, a upcoming limited series starring Suranne Jones (Doctor Foster, Coronation Street). Her husband has been accused, and the visiting French president is under threat, and a global incident is looming. The trailer above and the following information.

An invitation threatens two governments
The political thriller created by Matt Charman (Bridge of Spies, treason) focuses on high stakes standoffs caused by state visits. With one leader’s spouse being held hostage and the other being blackmailed, British and French governments are forced into uneasy alliances and struggle to maintain control as pressure increases.
Suranne Jones leads with Steely Resolve
Executive producer Jones described hostages as a long-standing passion project. “I’m so pleased to be a part of Netflix, I’m really proud,” she told Netflix’s site Tudum. “It was something I wanted to do for a long time. We used to talk about the project, but for me it was about finding the right thing to do. The hostages were perfect.
Charman praised the collaboration and Jones’ performance. “I wanted to find the right story to talk to Sanne, and I honestly believe that what she did with this character is trying to blow away the Netflix audience.
