Netflix has released staff from Untamed, a limited series that places Eric Bana and Sam Neal deep inside Yosemite National Park’s Wild. Please take a look at the above and see more details about the series below.
The footage begins with an obvious accident. This is a fatal fall from Elpitan. However, Kyle Turner (Bana), a specialized agent who has turned ranger, has not bought a brief explanation. His new partner, Naya Vazquez (Lily Santiago, La Blair), says, “She was hurt, scared… She was running away from something.”
Rangers are more suitable for the wilderness than the world
Creators Mark L. Smith (American Primeval, The Revenant) and Elle Smith (daughter of Marsh King) wrote Turner with Bana in mind. “Kyle Turner is a much more comfortable person (…) in the wild than in the other humans and the modern world,” Mark told Netflix’s website Tudum. The actor’s trick to conveying confusion without words is, “Because he’s very good at being silent,” Elle said, “He can do strength and sensitivity at the same time. It felt really rare. And he resembles a horse.”
Darkness under the pine
Turner’s search will take you to patrol tent camps from the hub of Yosemite visitors and to patrol tent camps and miles of unattended backcountry as illicit wildlife officers (Wilson Bethel, Daredeville) may have fatal secrets. Meanwhile, Turner wrestled with guilt over past cases. “What we’re going on in real time is not just the sadness he’s going through, but what he can do for the next girl, what he can do for this case, and how he can serve his family by solving this case,” Elle explained.
In the trailer, Chief Ranger Paul Starr (Neal) clearly states the challenge of “we have nearly a million acres of wilderness.” It is a lot of places for the killer to hide, and plenty of space for Turner’s own demon to do what.
