Six more creators will join the Future Vision lineup as part of the open day program

Six more Australian creators participated in the lineup for this month’s Future Vision Summit in Melbourne.

Danny Philippou, co-writer and co-director of Global Horror Hits, is co-director of Talk To Me and Her Back, who will appear on Monday, July 14th with Tig Terera (Swift Street) and Catherine Smyth McMullen (The Sandman) for the voices of the future and the Disruptors panel.

The programme of the day will feature Harriet Dyer (Colin) (Colin) with previously announced international guests Richard Gad (moderate by Tony Ayers), Sally Wainwright (moderate by Penny Small Kombu), and Sue Hugh (Colin Chen; Gad and Hugh are moderated). Banks (Fake) and Bruna Papandrea (9 Perfect Strangers) join in a chat by the fireplace.

New speakers for programming, which closed on Tuesday and Wednesday, are dead creators Kate McCartney and Kate McLennan, Michael Lucas (newsreader), Vanessa Gazzie (Echo), and Nicholas Verso (invisible boy).

AIF announced Partner Screen Australia and Vicscreen, the second-year edition features theme “Optimism.”

AIF Executive Director Peter Richie said the event was “a unique incubator for Australian screen talent seeking to attract international audiences and creative investments.”

“The 2025 lineup brings together bold, innovative creative leaders who are shaping the future of Australian television on screens around the world,” he said.

The Vision for the Future will be held at ACMI in Melbourne from July 14-16, with support from Walt Disney Company Australia & New Zealand, Netflix and Stan. Tickets are available on open days here.
